The Clear Lam Rigid Rollstock Division was established to meet the rapidly expanding need for semi-rigid and rigid rollstock used to package a variety of refrigerated foods, personal health care products, electronics and industrial goods. The Rigid Rollstock Division develops and manufactures monolayer as well as multilayer films and sheet.

Most recently, Clear Lam has launched a new generation of barrier structures that are produced from a minimum of 80 % renewable raw materials. This truly revolutionary product line allows food processors to eliminate environmentally unfriendly structures such as PVC without compromising performance. These new plant -based materials are sold under the EarthClear™ brand name. They are used on traditional form-fill-seal machines to package such items as pastas, egg rolls, sliced meats, burritos and other prepared meals. In-house capabilities include extrusion, co-extrusion, laminating and custom slitting. Packaging materials are produced to specific customer requirements including APET, RPET, HIPS, PP, PE, EVOH as well as various multilayer blends.

In addition, the Rigid Rollstock Division supplies industrial thermoforming companies with rollstock for the production of pre-made containers. Where appropriate, Clear Lam works closely with customers to establish necessary oxygen and moisture barrier properties for specific applications.
