Clear Lam Provides Sustainable, Plant Based Containers for 2009 California Governors' Breakfast (Elk Grove Village, IL)

The California Chamber of Commerce hosted its 84th Annual Breakfast with the Governor at the Sacramento Convention Center on May 19, 2009. Over 200 guests attended the event. Mr. Michael Marks, known as "The Produce Guy" within the local California media community, spoke on behalf of Green Packaging for the Agriculture Industry. Clear Lam Packaging, Inc. was asked to participate at the event by providing thermoformed containers made from sustainable, plant based plastics. The Clear Lam containers were used as table centerpieces.
Clear Lam's new facility in Vernon, California opened in January 2009 and is used to support growth in the produce, deli and bakery industries. Clear Lam Packaging, Inc. is headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. It employs 760 people in seven plants located in the United States and China. Clear Lam produces a variety of rigid and flexible packaging materials for perishable goods.
