Clear Lam Packaging, Inc. Announces Opening of its New West Coast Facility in Vernon, California (Elk Grove Village, Illinois) - 12/29/2008

Clear Lam Packaging, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of its new West Coast facility in Vernon, California to support the growth of its rigid and flexible packaging businesses. The new operation encompasses 110,000 sq. ft. and includes extrusion and thermoforming capabilities as well as a distribution center.

 

Clear Lam Packaging, Inc. is headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. It employs 720 people in seven plants located in the United States and China. Clear Lam produces a variety of thermoformed containers, multi-layer flexible films, printed structures, laminations, coextrusions and rigid rollstock used to package perishable goods.

 

"We are excited to support the growth in environmentally friendly packaging. Our new California operation will allow us to bring many new products to our processor and retailer customers in a timely and cost effective manner," says James Sanfilippo, CEO of Clear Lam Packaging, Inc.

 

Clear Lam has taken a lead role in developing and commercializing rigid and flexible packaging made from plant-based, sustainable raw materials along with packaging made from recycled materials, degradable structures as well as new lightweighting technologies.

 

Clear Lam has launched the EarthClear initiatives to provide environmentally friendly packaging options. Clear Lam is one of the largest extruders and thermoformers of plant-based bioplastics in the world.
