Clear Lam’s Thermoforming Division is the fastest growing segment of the Clear Lam Family. Through significant investment in human resources and manufacturing capabilities, the Clear Lam Thermoforming Division is answering the demands of today’s marketplace. It manufactures dozens of standard sizes as well as a variety of custom parts.

The Thermoforming Division is fully vertically integrated. It has an AIB Superior Certification and incorporates the Clear Lam Corporate Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs.

In house capabilities include:

• Engineering and design services from a highly experienced staff
• Tooling manufacturing in a state of the art tool and die center providing the shortest lead times in the industry
• Sheet extrusion on high output lines
• Standard and Custom part forming on wide platform lines
• Warehousing in the Midwest and West Coast

The Thermoforming Division focuses its efforts on APET containers used to package baked goods, produce, deli items, candy and meal kits. The containers are offered in clear as well as pigmented formats. Various mold bases are available allowing for custom sizes to be provided within the shortest lead times and in a cost effective manner.

In addition to APET containers, Clear Lam manufactures a variety of multilayer trays incorporating various base sheets such as polypropylene and high impact polystyrene. These materials are extruded in house and are laminated with various other films such as EVOH and numerous polyethylenes to provide oxygen barrier and the capability to be hermetically sealed.

Clear Lam is also a significant supplier of trays used for case ready meat packaging and for packaging processed and sliced vegetables used by large food service organizations. Clear Lam sells directly to processors, retailers and distributors.
