TITLE:   Laminator Operator I

SUBSTITUTE:  Other Lam Operator I

REPORTS TO:  Shift Manager

STATUS:   Non-Exempt

EXPERIENCE:  4-5 years 

EDUCATION:  High School or equivalent

 

SKILLS REQUIRED: Mechanical Aptitude, Math Skills, Read English, Data Input, Knowledge of  Tape Measure & Ruler /Metric-Standard, Knowledge of Plastic Materials, Adhesive formulas

Heat Seal Coating & Lamination

Training Certification Operator I – including

Standard EFM (300) within 30 days

Ability to identify raw materials & defects

Cause & Troubleshoot

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Moderate to heavy physical effort performing 

Duties/work activities; lift up to 80 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment required

MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS:   Continuous mental/visual attention required

SKILLS REQUIRED: Mechanical Aptitude, Math Skills, Data Input, Knowledge of Plastic Materials / Sheer & Razor Blade Experience Reads Ruler Metric/Standard

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Moderate to heavy physical effort performing

Clear Lam Packaging, Inc. (Elk Grove Village, IL) seeks a Product Line Sales Engineer to coordinate product development and design with engineering, tooling and manufacturing.

Specific responsibilities include: support maintenance in problem resolutions; draw schematics for the Electrical and Pneumatics departments; manage Programmable Logic Controllers Support maintenance in problem resolutions; assess markets, customers, and specific applications where product line revenue can be expanded; evaluate current business within Product Line and work to formulate a strategy to expand sales; maintain competitive benchmarking and identify competitive threats; work with channel leads to develop target accounts and specific target applications; monitor competitive pricing for maximum margin; develop closer working relationships with key equipment suppliers; develop sales collateral as needed; assist in preparing key presentations with Sales Channel Leads and Account Managers; develop promotional plans for product line; and work with assigned R & D manager and Mechanical Engineer as needed. Position requires travel abroad at least 3-4 times per year; and work after normal business hours and on weekends, depending on project requirements. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, or a closely related engineering degree, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered, as an Electrical Engineer, or in a similar position within the flexible plastic packaging industry. Specific experience must  include: working with compositions of various film structures, polymers, adhesives, and their interactions with corresponding foods and products; determining which film structures,  polymers, adhesives work best with various foods and products; working with vertical/horizontal form filled seal machines, laminating, blown film, and label applicators; and following market trends, and navigating the challenges of the packaging industry. Position requires travel abroad at least 3-4 times per year; and occasional work after normal business hours and on weekends, depending on project requirements. Full time position.
