ABOUT US

Clear Lam Packaging, Inc. was founded in 1969. It has grown from a small regional plastics converter focusing on limited product lines to a vertically integrated Packaging Group with sales exceeding $120 million encompassing a variety of high performance packaging products. Clear Lam operates 3 plants with more than 600,000 sq.ft. and employs over 400 people.

Today, The Clear Lam Packaging Group consists of 5 operating Divisions. The largest and most established is the Flexible Films Division offering hundreds of specialty films that are laminated, printed and slit to custom or standard sizes. The group operates state of the art printing presses handling up to 11 colors. In addition, the Flexible Division manufactures its own coextruded films and laminates with solventless and solvent based adhesive systems. The Division supplies a variety of food processors, manufacturers of personal health care products, electronics and industrial goods.

The Clear Lam Thermoforming Division is the fastest growing group within the Clear Lam family. It focuses its efforts on thermoformed APET containers used for baked goods, produce and meal solutions. The Thermoforming Division is highly integrated. An in house engineering staff provides custom designs that are quickly converted into tooling within the Thermoforming Group’s own Tool and Die Center. The Division extrudes all of its own sheet and thermoforms parts using the largest platforms available in the industry. The group also supplies a variety of multilayer meat trays and custom barrier trays used in modified atmosphere packaging.

Clear Lams' Map Systems Equipment Division offers custom manufactured equipment and components that provide proprietary means of creating very specific modified atmosphere in cans, bottles, jars, vials, pouches, bags, trays, etc. These systems extend the shelf life of perishable products to levels that were previously unattainable. The unique equipment does not require vacuum. It works by creating non abusive streams of inert and active gases that achieve accuracy levels that are not possible using more conventional packaging. The Map Systems Equipment Division has vast experience with powdered or granulated products such as infant formula and coffee as well as experience with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, dairy products, meats, pharmaceuticals, personal health care products and chemicals.

The Clear Lam Forming Films Division was established to focus its efforts on multilayer and monolayer formable rollstock. The Division extrudes its own Rigid and Flexible Forming Films on high output, state of the art systems. These materials are developed in house to maximize barrier properties, puncture resistance, clarity, rigidity and economies. The Forming Films Division supplies food processors, specialty electronics manufacturers and industrial thermoformers demanding high quality engineered rollstock at economical costs.

The newest Clear Lam Division is the Clear Lam Dispensing Systems Group (CDS). The Dispensing Systems Group offers National and International Food Service Providers a proprietary method of dispensing condiments from highly efficient bags or pouches instead of from composite cans, metal cans, jars or bottles. The systems are very unique. They are extremely simple to utilize, do not waste any condiments and offer substantial cost savings. The CDS system incorporates equipment and packaging films to guarantee performance.

The Clear Lam Packaging Group has positioned itself to answer the demands of today’s marketplace. By combining Clear Lam’s historically superior customer service performance with new vertically integrated manufacturing strength, Clear Lam is prepared to grow with its customers and to lead the industry in innovation, economics and performance.
